Strengths of UBB/HfP

 1. Through focussed survey, we acquire  in-depth  knowledge of the local mountain villages, villagers and their values and cultures.

This acquired information and customary consultations with the chiefs of these villages help us in tailoring our assistance to generate maximum immediate benefits and also in prioritizing our help to the villages and villagers in most need.

2. Compared to other NGOs, our charity operation is very cost efficient. It hovers around 10% of the interest income (from the term-deposited GRANT) we receive to fund this Programme with .  The cost percentage would have been even lower if HfP  received any tax-credit in Tajikistan for our charity project costs.

So, still about 90% of the Programme funds is spent on actual projects.

3. Our operation is fully transparent, backed up fully by the bank records, receipts from the purchases of materials and services, photos of our projects while in construction, after completion and  finally operational, and testimonials from those who benefitted from our projects.

Except for the bank records, purchase receipts and project agreements, all the rest is posted on this website.  The information not posted on the website is maintained in our office files and is accessible when requested..

4. Whenever possible, we choose local expertise and local suppliers and this benefits the local businesses as well as reduces project-costs.
