Project 11 Contributed US$4,300 towards the total funds required for a hip-surgery for a 9-year old Farangis from Khorog and also arranged for her surgery in New Delhi
Funding:
For a long time, the fund raisers were short of some $4000 towards paying for $13,300 cost of a hip surgery outside Tajikistan.
So, Dhananis contributed $4,300 to cover the shortfall.
Prr-project Situation
A 9-year-old Faragis Davlatova was born with 1 leg, 6cms shorter, than the other leg. So she had to use clutches to get around.
The hip surgery was not possible in Tajikistan and so it was necessary to arrange for her hip-surgery in a foreign country.
Dhananis participated as described below:
In addition to covering the shortfall of $4,300, Dhananis did a thorough research to locate a surgeon and a hospital with a very high record of success.
They finally located a very renowned surgeon with 35 years of experience at The Artemis Hospital in New Delhi, India.
Farangis was successfully operated on in September, 2016.
Before the surgery, Farangis had to use clutches to walk

Fully Recovered and Dancing away with Shahida Dhanani, during the wedding celebration of her sister
Feedback that Shahida received from Farangis’ Mother at the wedding of the elder sister of Farangis
Everything is going well. Farangis is now walking to school without crutches or any other aid.
Before her one leg was 6 cms shorter than the other leg. Now it’s only 1.5 cm shorter and she is able to walk and dance.
But as she gets older the difference will be even less.
I never thought I would see my daughter like this.
We are very very grateful for what you have done for us.
She is very thankful.
May Allah always bless you
