Pre-Project Situation

 Circa 2014, the small village of Shitobog was destroyed by mudflows. Mahbuba lost her house and and her cottage business of  making dresses and employed 3 dress makers.

The village has now been reconstructed at an higher elevation. But she could no longer afford to buy a modern electric sewing machine to start her business all over.

However, she still kept working but with a manual sewing machine, and her production level was much much lower than the level in her prior business.

We have also offered to buy for her additional sewing machines when her business improves and she needs to hire extra employees.
