Project 16: Donation Cost US$375. UBB donated to Silemunsho family in Shokhirizm , 60 families , Roshtkala District, a hydraulic presser to extract juice easily and faster from their farmed seabuckthorn fruit, for marketing

 Pre-Project Situation

 The Shilemunso family have a big farm of sea buckthorn trees. Every winter, when these fruits ripen, they are pressed to extract  very healthy juice and oil to sell.

But this family could only afford to use a hand operated meat- grinder that took a whole year, and also had to waste a lot of  fruit that they could not extract juice from in time.

 The Programme donated a hydraulic presser to make juice extraction faster and less tiresome  and enable them extract juice , in time, from all the fruit they harvest. 

Also, our assistance created in the village, jobs for 2 more persons to assist the family in extracting more juice.

Appreciation letter 

We, 4 households, worked very hard to establish a garden for buckthorn. When we finished the garden we harvested good amount of harvest, but

 unfortunately we couldn’t produce the juice as we didn’t had any equipment to do that. For that reason we had to use hand-powered mincer.

We hoped one day we will have opportunity to buy an equipment to make juice from our harvested buckthorn.

Mr. Shiraz Dhanani and Mrs. Dhanani provided us with the buckthorn juice maker,
with which we can produce 200 liters of juice, instead of 20 litres with our old hand equipment.

In addition to this, 2 more people were hired and received a job.

We appreciate and very grateful for the support provided by Mr. Dhananis.

This year we plan to increase our harvest and juice production, for storing of which we need a refrigerator. If there is an opportunity we can get a refrigerator that will be great.
