Project 108, Donated Cost: US$15,700 – Installation of a pipeline to provide Yamchun Village, 45 Households, Ishkashim District, access to safe drinking water from a mountain spring located 7.5 kms away

Funded by: Dhananis

Yamchun Village

Pre-project Situation

The village does not have access to clean drinkingwater. Right now they are using water from Ishkahim river, which is not very safe and causes various infectious diseases among the residents of this village. In addition, it is very challenging to fetch water from the river, especially during winter.

Due to the fact that the water is not safe, the villagers have to boil it before any usage. Also, the need to boil water increases the cost of wood, coal and electricity.

There is available spring water source above the village which the villagers want to transfer to the village for further usage.
