HfP sent out a survey team to survey 26 villages in Roshqala Valley, Gund Valley and Roshan District, and also the Roshan Boarding School.
Findings
In Roshqala District, 7 villages were surveyed: Shokhirism, Zanudj, Sindev, Biviz, Sejd-dasht, Vrag and Drumkul .
They requested assistances of greenhouses, fences, yaks, sheep and goats for breeding, saws for processing wood, equipments for herb processing and packaging, sewing machines, equipment to repair TVs and Refrigerators, welding equipments.
In Ghund Valley, 7 villages were surveyed: Ver, Bachor, Shazud, Sardem, Pish, Patkhor, Miyonshahr and Oqmamad. They requested masonary equipments, roofing equipments,equipments for shaving sheep and cleaning wool, equipments for repairing cars, equipments for repairing TVs and refrigerators, sewing machines, yaks, cows, sheeps and beehives for breeding, equipments for the buckthorn oil processing, equipments for wood processing, equipments for metal work, beds and sheets for home stay, tandur stoves and saws for cutting wood.
In the village of Rid-deh, in Rushon District, requested electric stoves for cooking and heating their very small 20 sq. meter houses, wood fired stoves, suspended (drop) ceilings, in-between insulation warm clothes and shoes for adults and children, and plough a part of their 2ha land for growing vegetables for consumption.
At Roshan Boarding School (RBS) in Roshan District, we visited with the managing staff and found out that the RBS needed 1) to replace in broken tables and chairs in the dining-hall, 2) dining plates, bowls, cups and glasses in the dining-hall in the dining-hall, 3) to replace broken tables and chairs and a small old TV in the Reading room and 4) new pairs of socks and sandals.
